CD drive freezes while reading the CD-ROM due to dirty CD.
Cause:
CD-ROM data surface is dirty.
Solution:
Clean the CD-ROM, open Windows Explorer, and select 'CD-ROM'. Double-click on an executable file.
1) Use a CD-ROM cleaning kit to clean the bottom (data) surface.
2) Open 'Windows Explorer', and click on the CD-ROM icon in the left-hand side of the Explorer window. (The contents of the CD-ROM are displayed in the right-hand side of the Explorer window.)
3) Double-click on an executable file.
